NEPSE adds 0.14 points to close at 542

Today also, the rally in the Others sector at the end of the session uplifted the market index from the bearish to bullish zone. Till five minutes before the closing, the market was trading in red at the level of 540.5 but the increment in the Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited, surged the local bourse towards today’s closing level.

However, the market turnover took a dip as it stood below Rs 100 million at Rs 93,442,496, which is 24.44 percent less than of yesterday’s turnover. Also, the shares traded and transactions also took a dive as it tallied at 371,151 units and 1,508 times respectively.

Among the seven sub-indices traded today, only Others, Hotels and Finance succeeded in adding 9.4, 6.62 and 0.09 points respectively whereas rest settled in the red zone.

Insurance suffered the loss of 3.49 points followed by 2.48 points tumble of Hydro, 1.56 point drop of Banking and 0.54 point decline of Development.

All in all, 98 scrips were traded, out of which 33 scrips gained, 15 remained intact and 50 scrips lost.

The share with the highest gain in today’s session was, Gaurishankar Development Bank Ltd (GSDBL), closed at Rs 104, with Rs 9 or 9.47 percent growth. Whereas, Himalayan Bank Ltd. Promoter (HBLPO), closed at Rs 267, was the worst performer for the day with a loss of Rs 29 or 9.8 percent followed by Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL), closed at Rs 225, with loss of Rs 14 or 5.86 percent.

The scrip with the highest turnover in today’s market was of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Lt (NBB) which closed at Rs 369. In total, 18,455 units of shares were traded through only 32 transactions worth Rs 6,765,540.

The broker with the highest standalone dealing of NBB was Broker No 32 (Premier Securities Company Limited) with 30.95%; amounting Rs 4,187,600 via 3 transactions totaling  11,500 units which include one matching transaction tallying 5,550 units worth Rs 2,020,200.
