NEPSE index rises a double-digit 16 points to close at 677.8 points

Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) posted a double-digit growth of 16 points to close at 677.8 points on Tuesday. Except for the group representating hotels, all other groups registered gains. The group representing hydropower companies (up 39.6 points) led the gainers’ side.

Overall market transaction for the day stood at Rs 515.81 million from the trading of 1,460,772 shares. Nabil Bank’s promoter shares, Nepal Bangladesh Bank, Nepal Bank, Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank and Chilime Hydropower Company all saw their share transaction cross Rs 20 million.
