Lumbini Bank announced 6% bonus shares & 5% cash dividend for FY 2070/71

According to the bank, its board of directors (BoD) meeting held on Thursday proposed 6 percent bonus shares and 5 percent cash dividend to its shareholders from the net profit that it has earned in the last fiscal year 2070/71.

Manjushree Finance’s swap ratio for merger with Lumbini Bank between 65 - 75 %

A month after signing a MoU to merge with Lumbini Bank Limited for the merger, Manjushree Finance Institution Limited is looking at a good deal with commercial bank.

 According to the officials of both the BFIs, they are close to finalizing a deal with a swap ratio of 65 to 75 percent for the finance company.

“Manjushree is asking for more than 70 percent, while Lumbini is not willing to give more than 65,” a source privy of the development told .

Lumbini Bank endorses 8% bonus shares & .46% cash dividend

The 16th Annual General Meeting of Lumbini Bank Limited held on Friday has formally endorsed 8 percent bonus shares and 0.46 percent cash dividend to the shareholders from the net profit the commercial bank posted in the last fiscal year 2069/70.

During the AGM held at the Chitwan chapter of FNCCI in Narayangarh, the bank management also informed that bank's paid-up capital has soared to Rs 1.72 arba.

Lumbini Bank 8% bonus share, AGM on January 10.

Lumbini Bank Limited is holding its 16th Annual General Meeting on January 10.

The AGM to be held at the Chitwan chapter of FNCCI in Narayangarh is due to endorse 8 percent dividend to the shareholders from the net profit the commercial bank posted in the last fiscal year 2069/70.

The commercial bank had posted a net profit of Rs 14.95 crore in the last fiscal year.

Lumbini Bank to give 8 % bonus shares, AGM on Jan 10

Lumbini Bank Limited is holding its 16th Annual General Meeting on January 10. The AGM to be held in Narayanghat is due to endorse eight percent bonus shares to the shareholders from the net profit the commercial bank posted in the last fiscal year 2069/70.

The commercial bank had posted a net profit of Rs 14.95 crore in the last fiscal year.

Manjushree finance to merge with Lumbini Bank; share trading suspended at NEPSE

Manjushree Finance Institution Limited has decided to merge with Lumbini Bank Limited.

Following the decision of these two BFIs to merge, Nepal Stock Exchange Limited has even suspended the trading of Manjushree’s shares from today.

Rising provision, NPA threaten to cast shadow over banks’ profits

Though profits posted by most commercial banks for FY 2069/70 came as great news for the entire banking sector, the scenario might not be as rosy as it seems. 

Most of the banks have set aside huge amount of provision for nonperforming assets (NPA) to make up for bad loans.

8 banks, 40 dev. banks & 38 finance to issue bonus shares or rights shares or go for merger.

Eighty-six banks and finance institutions are still short of funds to meet the minimum capital base set by the new monetary policy of Nepal Rastra Bank.
As per the monetary policy, commercial banks must maintain a paid up capital of Rs 2 arba, national level development banks Rs 64 crore, finance companies Rs 20 crore and regional development banks should have a paid up of Rs 10 crore.

Mega Bank net profit 17crore, Janata Bank 19.77crore, Lumbini Bank 15crore.

Tentative profit figures of some financial institutions indicate that fiscal year 2069/70 was a bonanza year for banks and financial institutions.

Sources told ShareSansar that the latest among the banks making money hand over fist are Janata Bank, Mega Bank and Grand Bank.
