Nabil Balanced Fund-1 NAV nudges to 13.31, yet Rs 11.88 at NEPSE

Nabil Balanced Fund-1, a closed-end 5 years mutual fund scheme managed by Nabil Investment Banking Limited, has reported an impressive growth of its net asset value (NAV) to Rs 13.31 for the month of Mangshir, up from 11.64 posted in Ashwin.

The significant growth the mutual fund witnessed over the month is attributed to the overall rally in the market, more than other factors such as better understanding of such schemes and the dividend the scheme is pledging, which is better than the pledged amount.

Sanima Mai Hydropower IPO shares oversubscribed by nearly 30 times.

The Initial Public Offering of Sanima Mai Hydropower Limited (SMHL), which closed earlier this week, was oversubscribed by nearly 30 times.

“The IPO has drawn around 6.15 billion rupees, though we are still get the final figure, which could be slightly above or below this number ,” Bijendra Nuchchhe Pradhan, an officer with the issue manager NIDC Capital Markets.

IPO issue of Kalika Micro Credit Development Bank Limited opens today

Kalika Micro Credit Development Bank Limited is issuing two lakh unit IPOs from today.
The micro credit development bank has stated that the issuance of the IPO will continue until September 23, but it could be extended up to October 3.

Of the two lakh IPOs being floated in the market at the rate of Rs 100 per unit, 4,000 units are reserved for its staff and 10,000 units have already been allotted to the mutual funds.

Nepse Wrap up (Review period 11th Aug to 15th Aug, 2013)

Much of the market excitement seen in the prior weeks seems to have faded away.  As most of the investors are liquidating their position for short term profit, the local bourse hasn’t been able to gain ground in recent days.

Followed by the prior week’s meager decline, the local bourse failed to make any attempt of recovery this week. For consecutive five trading days, the market with its lethargy movement continued to settle in red zone one after another.

Rural Microfinance Dev. Co. RMDC IPO allotment - VIEW ONLINE RESULTS, Small investors 12.15%, Big 6.88%

NEPSE today at 542.63

Following the steady pace of yesterday, the market found itself dangling in sideways today.

The adequate presence of both buyers and sellers kept the market ticking between the level of 541.5 and 543.5 for the entire session but at the end was able to surpass the yesterday’s closing to make a gain of 0.28 points.

NEPSE down by 0.49 pts at 542.35

After the upheaval performance of yesterday, the market momentum came to a steady pace today.

Following the opening from prior day’s closing, the local bourse came to incline by one point in the initial hour of trade but failed to sustain in the latter hours leading to 0.49 points loss by the end of the session.

The volatility in the market today was less than that of yesterday as the secondary market traded only within one point range from previous day’s closing level.

Nabil Balance Fund-1 NAV improves, reaches to Rs 10.22

 Nabil Balance Fund-1, a mutual fund scheme of Nabil Mutual Fund that is managed by Nabil Investment Banking Limited, a subsidiary company of the Nabil Bank Limited, has registered a slight growth in its net asset value (NAV).
The NAV of the closed-end 5 years mutual fund scheme increased by Rs 0.25 to Rs 10.22 per unit from Rs 9.97 per unit last month.
The mutual fund scheme is sponsored by Nabil Bank Limited.

NEPSE reaches 545.97 four & half months high


The share market of Nepal gained further mileage today as the benchmark index rallied by 6.92 points.

As the fiscal year 2069/70 has just ended, the companies have started publishing financial reports, and the speculation of possible dividend for this fiscal year has started to kick-in on the market.

Nepse Wrap up ( Review period 21st July to 25th July, 2013 )

The murky environment in Nepse came to an end post the timely announcement of the full budget. This week accompanied by the favorable monetary policy brought by the Nepal Rastra bank (NRB), the market confidence even climbed a further height.

The local bourse this week advance to four months high of 535.72 levels on 21st July, 2013, before coming to settle at 529.07 levels on 25th July, 2013. Compared to prior week’s closing level, the market index rallied by 7.54 points.

Stock Investors regain faith due to timely budget

The first week (July 14 to 18) of the new fiscal year saw the stock market pushing for new heights, boosting investor confidence.

The full budget which was announced on schedule last week has signalled better economic conditions which helped investors regain faith in the share market. Moreover, financial institutions started providing margin financing for share purchases since the beginning of the fiscal year. In the last two months of the previous year, financial institutions had slowed down in issuing short-term loans against shares due to the need to provision one per cent of the loan in the year-end balance sheet. But with the new fiscal year, they have resumed margin financing.

Mutual fund investors can expect bonus dividends & Global IME Bank mutual fund scheme coming up.

Mutual fund unit holders can expect to receive two to four per cent hike in dividend payouts by fund managers following tax exemptions announced in the financial ordinance.

From the beginning of current fiscal year, mutual funds have been declared not-to-be-taxed entity by the government. Mutual funds will not have to pay any corporate taxes or pay capital gain tax for the shares that has been traded. Likewise, they have been exempted from paying any taxes on dividends received on shares and debentures and also mutual funds will not have to pay tax on interest received on deposits at financial institutions.

Sana Kisan Bikas Bank Limited IPO issue Kicks off Today.

The company is floating 6,00,000 shares, out of which 30,000 has been set aside for mutual funds and 18,000 shares for the bank’s employees. The shares set aside for mutual funds have already been distributed equally among Nabil Balance Fund-1 and Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-1.
