Mega Bank shares trading by 2nd week of Sept, Nabil Investment, its Share Registrar

Mega Bank Nepal Limited has appointed Nabil Investment as its Share Registrar. Mega Bank CEO Mr Anil Keshary Shah and CEO of Nabil Investment Banking Limited, Mr. Praveen Raman Parajuli, signed on the agreement at Mega Bank’s Head Office in Kantipath.

With the appointment of the share registrar, the process of listing Mega Bank shares at NEPSE has inched closer. “All formalities will be fulfilled by the middle of next week,” a Nabil Invest official said, adding, "Trading in the shares will begin in the week after that."
According to the agreement, Nabil Investment Banking Limited will be providing various share related transactions such as ownership transfer of shares, signature verification, splitting of shares, dividend distribution, among others, and all other services related to share registration from its office in Anamnagar.

Mega Bank, which started operation with a paid up capital of 2.33 billion raised from 1219 promoters currently has 1,45,000 public shareholders. The bank collected Rs 699 million from its IPO floated in June, 2013.

As of mid-April, the bank had collected deposits of Rs 12.84 billion while it has provided loans worth Rs 11.87 billion. It maintains 28 branch offices, mega remit services in 500 locations and branchless banking in 45 villages across the country.
