Fiscal year 2069/70 has proven to be a grim year for two leading power companies.Chilime Hydropower Company has posted a profit of Rs 96.37 crore for FY 2069/70, a meager 1.95% rise over last year’s 94.53 crore.
The hydropower company sold electricity worth Rs 96.86 crore as against Rs 90.06 crore in the previous fiscal, an increase of 7.55%. Chilime’s EPS stands at Rs 55.16 and net worth at Rs 341.64.
Butwal Power Company has posted a 48.49% drop in profit for FY 2069/70. Profits declined to Rs 28.64 crore as against Rs 56.11 crore earnings reported in the corresponding period last year.
The company’s electricity sales also slid 2.50%, from Rs 52.51 crore posted in the previous fiscal to Rs 51.20 crore this year. The company’s EPS stands at Rs 28.21 and net worth Rs 270.
