The important documents and valuables stored in the lockers at the Kantipath Branch of Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) are safe though furniture and other logistics were reduced to ashes in a
fire that broke out the Jyoti Bhawan on Friday morning, the NBL said.Issuing a statement, the NBL informed that the Kantipath Branch's transactions have been resumed from its Dharmapath-based head office from today, while the locker service will continue at the Kantipath Branch.
The Jyoti Bhawan at Jamal houses the NBL branch in its second floor.
A fire broke out the building at around at around 8 am.
It was contained with the help of locals, security personnel and fire brigade in an hour.
