The Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project has spent one third of the social development budget during seven years.
Dr. Ganesh Neupane, Public Liaison Officer and Chief of the Social Development Department of the Project, released the report at a time when voices from different quarters were raised that there have been financial irregularities and said the Department has spent a total of Rs. 130 million.
According to the report, the project spent around Rs. 78 million for land acquisition, Rs. 56 million for social development.
The project had started the social development works from the fiscal year 2063/2064 B.S.Similarly, the project has spent Rs. 1.7 million under the title of awareness and communication.
