Banks and finance companies that made profit in the FY 2069/70 have
started to announce dividends. Seven companies, including one
manufacturing and one hydropower, have already declared to provide
dividends to shareholders.
Though none of the commercial banks have announced dividends yet, they have started seeking approval from Nepal Rastra Bank for the same. As the commercial banks have made profits of over 40 percent, they are likely to pay out higher dividends compared to the previous years.
Meanwhile, Arun Valley Hydropower Company has declared to issue 15 percent bonus shares and provide 0.75 percent cash dividend for tax purpose. Manufacturing company Unilever Nepal that posted the highest profit of Rs 19.85 crore for FY 2069/70 has announced that it would pay out 730 percent cash dividends.
Likewise, other companies to announce dividends are Unique Finance (12%), United Finance (12.5%), Miteri Development Bank (20% bonus shares, 5% cash dividend), City Development Bank (21.38% bonus shares, 1.12 cash dividend for tax purpose).
