NMB bank profits Rs 36.66 crore, 488% rise

NMB Bank has posted extraordinary growth in profit.

Profits rose by a breathtaking 488.71%, with total earning for FY 2069/70 amounting to Rs 36.66 crore. The bank had reported a profit of Rs 6.22 crore in the last fiscal.

The bank’s NPA is at 1.8%, a drop of 26.53% from last year’s 2.45%. The bank has also reported an impressive decline on amount set aside for provision. The amount for covering bad loans fell to Rs 13.08 crore from Rs 27.93 crore in the last fiscal, a decline of 53.16%.

The bank’s deposits grew 37.48% to Rs 21.94 arba and loans and advances increased 32.26% to Rs 16.49 arba.

NMB’s EPS has jumped a whopping 550.54%, from Rs 2 in the last fiscal to Rs 18 this year. The bank’s net worth stands at Rs 131.2.
