The publication of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank (NCCB) financial report with an astounding growth figure of 108% in Net profit, tallying to Rs 370.8 million, paved the way for signalling effect among commercial banks’ scrips in the initial hour, boosting the Banking sector by 6 points.
Then following the capitalization in the shares of Others and Insurance , the banking scrips also started to descend causing the market to gradually flutter down from the height of 550.01 levels to today’s closing level of 547.61 levels; narrowing the day’s gain to only 1.64 points.
The growth in the Banking sector also limited 2.58 points from 6 points whereas Insurance at the end of the day came to emerge with 2.36 point gain.
Similarly, Hydro today also continued with its rally as it advanced by 7.46 points followed by Development and Finance with 1.19 and 2 points climb respectively.
While, Others suffered a loss of 9.39 points. As for Hotels, it remained intact at 652.8 levels.
As for the day’s turnover, it propelled by 37.09% to total at Rs 201,642,729. Overall, 547,683 units of share were traded by 2,123 transactions.
All in all, the scrips of 96 companies were traded, out of which 49 scrips gained, 17 remained intact and 30 scrips lost.
The best performers for the today was, Summit Micro Finance Development Bank Ltd. (SMFDB), closed at Rs 314, with the gain of Rs 28 or 9.79%.
Whereas, United Insurance Co. (Nepal) Ltd. (UIC), closed at Rs 217, was the top loser with Rs 24 or 9.96% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 10.16, topped with 99,109 units. In case of ordinary scrips, Nepal Credit And Com. Bank (NCCB), closed at Rs 269, topped with 66,380 units.
In terms of turnover also, Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 1423, topped with 13,227 units worth Rs 18,986,763 via 122 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of the CHCL was Broker No 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) with 9.11%; amounting Rs 3,460,647 via 17 transactions totaling 2,413 units which includes 1 matching transactions tallying 120 units worth Rs 171,360.
