Standard Chartered Bank Nepal has proposed 50 percent dividend – 10
percent bonus shares and 40 percent cash to its shareholders from the
profit it earned in the last fiscal year i.e. 2069/70.
The 310th meeting of the bank’s Board of Directors has taken the decision to this effect.
It may be noted here that both the bonus shares and cash dividend proposed by Standard Chartered this year are 5 percent lesser than the same they had offered to the shareholders from the net profit they posted during the previous fiscal year.
The bank had distributed 60 percent dividend -- 15 percent bonus share and 45 percent cash dividend -- to the shareholders last year.
