On the first ever day of its trading, Mega Bank Limited shares were traded over 80% percent above par value on Sunday.
The shares, which were priced at Rs 188 per unit when the Nepse trading floor opened for the week on Sunday morning, closed at Rs 181 per unit.
Altogether 44,339 unit shares of the bank were traded for Rs 8,061,987 through 490 transactions.
The commercial bank’s shares were traded at the highest price of Rs 181 and the lowest of Rs 178 during today’s session.
Mega Bank’s shares were listed only on last Sunday.
Notably, the recently listed shares of Civil and Commerce and Trust Banks had faired above/ below par value on the first day of their trading.
While Civil’s shares had traded 65 percent above par value, Commerce and Trust’s shares had faired 45 percent above par value during their debut on the Nepse trading floor.
