With the Dashain festival only a few weeks away, real estate developers
are offering numerous schemes — ranging from 10 tolas of gold to zero
per cent interest on purchase of apartments — to attract genuine buyers.
CE Construction has introduced zero per cent interest offer on its ready-to-move-in apartments at Grande Towers, Tokha. “With the initial instalment of Rs one million, buyers can shift into the apartments. And the remaining amount can be paid within five years on a monthly instalment basis without any interest,” informs Babu Krishna Thapa, sales manager of CD Developers, a sister company of CE. The price of apartments range from Rs 4.5 million to Rs 13.6 million for one- to four-bedroom apartments.
Since the trend of living in apartments is still relatively new in Nepal, Thapa says, “The scheme will motivate buyers to purchase apartments as well as help fulfil one’s desire to own property at a minimum budget.” The special offer is for 300 plus units of Earth and Venus blocks in Grande Towers. Reportedly, their target is end users from the middle to high strata of society. The offer is on till October 1.
Kanchanjunga Housing Pvt Ltd offers a special scheme for their apartments at Janta Residency at Bhainsepati. “We are offering a scheme in which customers can shift into one of our apartments after paying just the booking charge of Rs 5.25 million,” informs Sushila Subedi, counsellor at Janta Residency. Additionally, the company is offering five and 10 per cent festive discounts on partial and full payments respectively. Targeted at middle class customers, the project has altogether 190 units of two-bedroom, three-bedroom medium and three-bedroom deluxe apartments. “Among which, 45 per cent of the total units have already been booked,” she asserts. Spread out over 12 ropanis of land, Janata Residency has 10 five-storey blocks each with 20 units, except for block ‘E’ which has only 10 units.
The price of apartments start at Rs 3.3 million and go up to Rs 5.9 million. Reportedly, the company has invested Rs 600 million in the project.
Stating that the response from the market is pretty good, Subedi aims for 70 per cent bookings this festive season. Customers can enjoy home loan facility from Ace Development Bank and Prime Bank. The company’s target is to handover the project by Tihar.
As part of their festive offer, Bajra Shangrila is providing gold scheme on its apartments at ‘The Residency’, Sanepa. With the tagline ‘Dashain raunak, 10 tola soonko chamak’, the company is providing five tolas of gold on every purchase of two-bedroom apartments and 10 tolas of gold in three- and four-bedroom apartments. Uma Thapa, marketing officer at The Residency, says, “Customers making full payment on apartments worth Rs 4.99 million and above will
get the gold.” Reportedly, The Residency has already received 80 per cent bookings for its 152 units. The price of the apartments range from Rs 4.99 million to Rs 10.06 million, depending upon size. The company plans to handover the project by the end of this fiscal year.
